Stop on Red

The Council Bluffs Police Department is launching a new program that targets red-light runners. "Stop on Red" is a high-tech way for the department to monitor more intersections with fewer officers. Click on the attached adobe document for information and frequently asked questions.

Effective September 25, 2009 the fine for running an automated red light has been increased to $107.25, which is the same as the fine for a ticket issued by an officer.

Also cameras have been added at the intersections of:

- 25th Street & W Broadway

- Harrison & Kanesville Blvd

- 30th Ave & I80 East off Ramp at South Expressway
